Woman Turns Cartwheels on St. Rt. 139
Just after 5 pm, deputies responded to an unusual traffic disturbance on St. Rte. 139. A caller said a woman was in the middle of the road turning cartwheels.
Deputies requested an ambulance, but Clay Township was unavailable, so they turned to Portsmouth Ambulance.
The woman refused to go to the hospital, but a man on the scene said he would keep an eye on her.
CPS Answers Child’s Call For Help
A woman contacted police just after 9 pm to say her 13-year-old niece sent her a photo of drugs and said it belonged to her mom. According to the aunt, the child was home alone, and the mom was currently at work.
A deputy met up with a CPS worker, and they responded to the scene. The child was placed with her aunt.
Man Nailed With Fake ID on St. Rte 104
Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies caught up with an international man of mystery just before 6 am. They stopped a man near the 852 Overpass on St. Rt. 104.
His tag didn’t match up to his vehicle and he offered officers an international license and a Mexican ID.
OSP Troopers came to assist and determined that the IDs were fake. Officers cited him for not having a license and gave him a warning on the vehicle’s equipment.
