The State of Ohio has a new online ranking system to help you find the best nursing home. Nursing homes are rated on a scale of one to five stars. Worryingly, there is a facility in the county ranking only one out of five stars.
We told you earlier about several Portsmouth nursing homes that didn’t make the grade. Now, let’s look at the lowest-ranking nursing home outside of Portsmouth.
Edgewood Manor of Lucasville II ranked one out of five stars. The report cited below-average resident satisfaction, poor health inspection, and below-average staffing.
However, sister facility Edgewood Manor of Lucasville I ranked three stars. While it ranked low for staffing, it did better on health inspections and resident satisfaction scores.
