7 Crashes in One Day Keep Officers Busy
Officers had a busy day responding to crash reports in Portsmouth.
Just after 8 am, a vehicle crashed into a garbage truck in the 4000 block of Pleasant Avenue. The driver was insured, and officers took information for a report.
An hour later, someone backed into an Access Scioto County bus. However, there was no damage to the bus, so there was no need for a police report.
At 9:25 am, there was another crash at 11th and Findlay Street. Both parties were insured, and police took information for a report.
Just after noon, there was a two-vehicle crash in front of Wendy’s on Gallia. Officers arranged for a damaged vehicle to be towed away and took information for a report.
At 12:12 pm, yet another crash was reported at 3rd and Chillicothe. Police took information for a report.
Twenty minutes after that, a vehicle crashed at 11th and Clay Streets.
At 9:30 pm that night, a Tahoe crashed into a parked car and began leaking gasoline everywhere. Officers contacted AEP and arranged to have the damaged vehicle towed.
