Betty Kathleen Rowe, aged 91, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, changed her address while listening to God’s word. “O’ death, where is your victory? O’ death, where is your sting?” – Corinthians 15:55.
Born on June 28, 1934, to Wilbur Cook and Mamie (Maynard) Thornhill, Betty was a beloved member of her community. She was a former bus driver for Wheelersburg Schools and also worked at Walmart. As a pastor’s wife, she was a friend to many and a wonderful mother and grandmother. A devout worshipper of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Betty’s faith was central to her life.
Betty is survived by her two sons, Wesley G. Rowe and his wife Ann of Cedarville, and Danny Rowe and his wife Rita of Ironton; her two daughters, Rhonda and her husband Jerry Tomilson of Kentucky, and Tonya and her husband James of Wheelersburg. Betty also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Bernard G. Rowe, and her brother, Eddie Dean Cook.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:15 AM, at South Webster Cemetery, officiated by Wesley Rowe. Visitation will take place from 10 AM to 11 AM at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster, prior to the service.
