Betty Jean Kester, 91, of Minford passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Bridgeport Healthcare Center in Portsmouth.
Born February 2, 1930, in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Leeman and Ruth (Headley) Headlee. Betty was a beautician and was also a concession stand manager at Wheelersburg Go-Kart Track. She loved to cook, and was known for her Sunday Family Dinners. Betty loved to travel with Gene and family and was an avid bowler.
She is survived by a son, Dean Kester; a daughter, Teresa Kester (Wayne) Sparks; two grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Kester, Jessica (Scott Copas) Kester, and three great-grandchildren, Ethan Copas, Joseph Kester, and Hadley Kester. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gene Kester, and two sons, Gerald Kester in infancy and John Kester.
Funeral services will be conducted Noon Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Sam Peters officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.
