Rush hour turned into a bumper-to-bumper nightmare outside the Sonic Drive-In on 12th Street when a three-car crash brought traffic to a standstill — and led to the arrest of a repeat drunk driver.
🚨 The Crash:
Just before 5 p.m., three vehicles collided in front of the popular burger joint, causing a major backup for hungry drivers trying to grab dinner. Thankfully, no injuries were reported — but the situation escalated quickly once officers started investigating the cause.
🚓 The Arrest:
Officers took Susan Coleman into custody after she allegedly blew twice the legal limit on a breathalyzer test.
Her vehicle was towed from the scene, and she was booked into the Scioto County Jail on OVI charges.
📜 The Record:
Court records reveal this wasn’t her first rodeo — or even her second. Coleman has three previous DUI convictions (2022, 2017, and 2003) and a criminal rap sheet that includes assault, domestic violence, criminal trespass, and resisting arrest.
⚖️ What’s Next:
She’s now facing misdemeanor OVI charge. The court released her on her own recognizance, suspended her license, and set a pre-trial hearing for August 5.
💡 REMEMBER:
Even if no one is hurt, drunk driving is never harmless. It only takes one second for a crash to turn deadly.
If you’ve had one too many, don’t drive. Call a friend, a cab, or a rideshare.
This time, the only thing bruised may be egos and fenders — but next time, it could be lives.
