📉 What You’re Not Seeing—And Why
In early 2025, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office stopped sharing detailed call logs with Scioto County Daily News. This was a flagrant violation of the Ohio Open Records law and a major decision by the Ohio Supreme Court. That decision limited our ability to bring you the in-depth articles you’ve come to expect. While the department may have opted for secrecy, we have not. We remain committed to transparency and public safety, and we will continue to bring you everything we can access—every day, every call.
Stay tuned as we continue to report the facts and keep our community informed. Want more insight into local crime and emergency activity? Follow Scioto County Daily News for daily breakdowns and exclusive updates.
