1. Child Calls Cops on Drunk Dad
A child called the police on her father just before 10 pm. She said he was intoxicated and had been arguing with her most of the evening. She reported there was a history of him hitting her.
When officers arrived, the girl was outside the home with a friend and the friend’s mother. Deputies said the father wanted the girl to come back inside.
Deputies contacted CPS and noted while there were reports of physical abuse in the past, there were no current signs of any injuries.
CPS said they would do a follow-up.
2. Dog Left With No Food, Water Shelter
A Lucasville caller reported a dog chained up between two trailers without shelter, food, or water for five days.
When deputies responded to the scene, they immediately contacted the Dog Warden and attempted to find some water for the dog to drink until help could arrive.
The dog warden took possession of the dog.
