David Franklin “Frank” Rose passed away on March 3, 2026, just one week after the passing of his beloved wife. The deep bond they shared was evident to all who knew them. Frank and Donna were married on August 19, 1962, and spent more than sixty years building a life together filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Frank was a retired truck driver who spent many years working hard to provide for his family. Outside of work, he and Donna shared many passions, including motorcycle riding, attending car shows, and connecting with friends through ham radio and CB radios. Many people knew them by their handles, “Bullfighter” and “Little Dipper.” Together, they loved bringing people together, often hosting gatherings filled with live music, dancing, and great company.
Frank was a humble and kind soul who genuinely cared about others. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and would do whatever he could if he knew someone was in need. He was especially proud of his grandchildren, who brought him great joy and were a constant source of pride in his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Rose; his mother, Thelma Rose; his wife, Donna Carol Rose; his brothers, William “Bill” Rose and Terry Rose; and his sisters, Maxine Fields, Clotine Nahnsen, and Crystal Hoover.
He is survived by his children, Bryan (Ellen) Rose, Greg (girlfriend Cathy) Rose, and Amy (Michael) Blanton; his grandchildren, Michelle VanDyke, Pam Campbell, Carrie Campbell, John Campbell, Mike Campbell, Koty Rose, Kandace Stevens, Halli Kellemeyer, Hannah Kellemeyer, and Lacey Blanton; as well as many great-grandchilden and one great-great-grandchild.
Frank’s kindness, generosity, and caring spirit touched many lives and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though their passing came so close together, it is comforting to know the love they shared continues beyond this life.
“Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away.” -Song of Solomon 8:7
