Scioto County Sheriff’s Officers responded to two complaints of underage drinking in less than two hours.
Multiple people called in around 10:30 pm to complain about a gathering on St. Rt. 139. The Ohio Investigative Unit checked out the call and requested a search warrant.
Officers tried to contact the teens’ parents but didn’t have any luck.
Another call came in just after midnight. This time, a caller reported a party on Peach Orchard Hill. The caller said there was underage drinking and fighting and that someone had posted a video on social media saying someone had a gun and was shooting at people.
When officers spoke to the kids on the scene, they denied there were fights or guns. Police dispersed the party and made sure sober drivers were available to get everyone home.
