Officers swung into action on Christmas Day after a woman texted someone claiming men were holding her hostage at a residence on St. Rt. 73. She said if anyone showed up to help her, the men would kill her and whoever tried to help her.
Officers met up at the Rush Township Fire Department and then headed to the home.
However, when officers spoke to the woman, she said she was not being held against her will. Deputies offered to give her a ride, but she refused all offers of help. We hope she’s okay.
