Portsmouth, Ohio Police say a drunk driver caused a big mess near Notre Dame Elementary early Sunday morning.
Just before 3 am, Dejon Clark crashed into an electric pole at Gallia and Offnere, and damaged the fence at Notre Dame Elementary School.
Officers contacted AEP to take care of the downed utility pole and block off the street in order to repair the situation. An officer transported Clark to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Post for a sobriety test and arranged for his vehicle to be towed.
Police arrested Clark, 28, for driving under the influence and booked him into the Scioto County Jail. This wasn’t Clark’s only brush with the law. Last July, he spent 83 days in the Scioto County Jail after the Ohio State Highway Patrol arrested him for possession of meth and having a weapon under a disability.
A search of Michigan records reveals Clark has a string of arrests for violent crimes in that state.
