An argument over a dog got out of control in Wheelersburg just before 2 am.
At 1:45 am, a caller told officers she saw a man and woman fighting, and the woman slapped the man. The man then left the scene in a white car.
When deputies responded to Center Street, a woman told them the man in the car was her son. Officers discovered there was an open warrant on the guy. The mom told deputies the argument was over a dog.

No one involved wanted to press charges. Deputies gave the woman a ride home.
