A predator sting across the river in Greenup is blowing up online after a watchdog group livestreamed the confrontation—and the arrest that followed.
According to the Greenup Police Department, officers were dispatched on the morning of April 25, 2026, to a home after a complaint from a group known as Bikers Against Predators.
When Officer Stamper and K9 Officer Bo arrived, they reviewed evidence gathered by the group and determined there was enough to make an arrest. With help from a Raceland Police Department officer, a suspect was taken into custody. Police say the investigation is still ongoing, and more details have not yet been released.
Viral Confrontation Raises Eyebrows
The group’s livestream—now circulating widely on social media—shows members confronting a man at his Greenup County home.
During the encounter, the man claimed his phone had been “hacked,” saying a virus was responsible for inappropriate activity involving minors. He told the group he didn’t know how to stop it and said his own family had warned him to stay away because of the situation.
At times, the man insisted he had accidentally joined disturbing online groups because he couldn’t see his phone clearly. He later admitted to posting in some of those groups “out of curiosity” and acknowledged moving to other apps. He also admitted to watching videos, some of which he said involved very young children.
Despite repeatedly saying he didn’t want to get in trouble and wanted help, the man maintained the activity wasn’t intentional.
At one point, he allowed a member of the group to look through his phone after being offered help removing content. He also asked where he could go to get help.
Arrest Caught on Video
Additional clips shared by the group show officers placing the man under arrest.
As of now, official booking details and charges have not been confirmed. The jail website was unavailable at the time of publication.
