Officers responded to the Marathon on Gay Street around 6 pm for what was initially called in as an overdose.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a Gray Honda Civic with a Kentucky license plate parked in the handicapped parking space and an intoxicated Jigreshkumar Patel in the vehicle.
Officers took him into custody and booked him into the Scioto County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct while intoxicated, creating a risk to others.
About an hour later, a High Street caller reported an intoxicated woman throwing things. Officers responded to the scene and took her into custody for disorderly conduct.
An apparently high individual who’d previously been banned from the Portsmouth Kroger returned early in the morning. Officers called the Quick Response Team to help the man and arranged to have his vehicle towed.
