Officials from the Federal Aviation Administration contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report someone had shined a green laser at a passing plane at the Minford Airport.
The pilot reported it was distracting. Distracting a pilot is a federal offense. Fines for a first offense are up to $11,000.
