Lisa Davine Nelson, 50, of Portsmouth, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born May 22, 1969, in Portsmouth to the late Alonzo and Murvine (Mitchell) Nelson, Sr.
Lisa was the owner of the former L&N Child Care and she had also worked as a home health aide. A 1987 Portsmouth High School graduate, she was a longtime member of the former Christ Temple Apostolic Church, now Living Faith Temple.
Surviving are her son, Nickolas Blake Nelson, of Portsmouth; five brothers, Alexander Nelson of Portsmouth, Verlin (Lesa) Nelson of Houston, TX, Leon (Angela) Nelson of Portsmouth, David Nelson of Fayetteville, NC, and Larry (Kay) Moore of Pataskala; six sisters, Maxine Malone, Dorothy (Charles) Taylor, Mary Nelson, Anna Nelson and Nora (Roy) Cosby, all of Portsmouth, and Rebecca (Jemar) Harris of Chillicothe; a sister-in-law, Kelva Nelson of Ashland, KY; and a host of other family members.
In addition to her parents, Lisa was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alonzo Nelson, Jr. and Ernest Nelson.
