Portsmouth Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 2200 block of Thomas Avenue just after noon.
They took one of the drivers into custody after learning he was using false identification documents and had an open warrant.
Officers took information for a crash report since it was a private property crash. They booked James Braden into the Scioto County Jail for probation violation.

Braden has a long record with at least 20 previous arrests, including charges of domestic violence, DUI, and disorderly conduct.
