A tense family dispute turned dangerous when a man allegedly grabbed a gun and threatened to kill two relatives after an argument over a ride to the hospital.
Deputies responded to a call for help at a nearby elementary school, where the frightened victim had gone to meet a friend after escaping the home. The woman told officers the incident happened at a residence on Township Road 1067 in Burlington, where she had asked a family member for a ride to the emergency room following knee surgery.
Instead of helping, the man — identified as Marion Holland — allegedly began yelling at her to “call a squad” and demanded she leave. According to the report, he then went to his bedroom, grabbed a silver handgun, and said he would kill her and another family member.
The victim said she managed to get away while a friend called 911.
🚓 Arrest and Evidence
Deputies surrounded the residence from the front and back before confronting Holland, who was taken into custody without incident and charged with domestic violence.
Inside the home, deputies found a silver .25-caliber handgun matching the victim’s description. The gun was loaded with four rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber. It was photographed and seized as evidence.
Holland was transported to the Lawrence County Jail, where he remains pending further court action.
