A domestic incident in South Point turned scary after callers said a man dragged a woman into a house and waved a gun at them.
It all started when callers said that a friend asked them to come pick her up. When they arrived at the home, they saw a man waving a gun and yelling, and he forcefully dragged their friend back into the house.
A deputy tried to get the man to come out, but he refused. However, when other officers arrived on the scene, the woman walked out of the house, apparently unharmed. She told deputies the man took her phone and drug her into the house, but she was more interested in leaving than pressing charges.
The same man was indicted back in 2022 for retaliation, obstructing official business, aggravated menacing, and resisting arrest. He later pleaded down to a disorderly conduct charge which he later attempted to appeal.
Officers did not arrest him at the scene but did file charges of disrupting public service and abduction against him.
