Man Flings S*** at West Portsmouth Home
Just after midnight, a West Portsmouth resident contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report that a man had thrown feces on his front porch before leaving the scene in a green Mustang.
He gave officers the name of the alleged poo flinger. Officers found no open warrants or protection order on file for the man.
They headed out to Galena Pike to speak with the suspect. Police collected statements from both parties for a report.
Truck Window Smashed With Hatchet on Chillicothe Street
Just after 6 am, a caller contacted PPD to report someone smashed the window of his truck in the OSCO parking lot.
There was a hatchet in the seat of the truck that the vehicle’s owner said did not belong to him. Police photographed and impounded the hatchet and spoke with OSCO about reviewing the security video.
Just an hour later, officers were called to The Happy Pot on 2nd Street for another report of a window broken out of a truck. The owner said someone took an overnight bag and purse containing credit cards and ID from the vehicle as well as a drill.
Officers took information for a report.
Woman Injured, Man Arrested on Wilson Avenue
Just before 9 am, officers responded to Wilson Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute. Witnesses said an injured woman was outside the residence, and a man was inside yelling.
Officers took the man into custody and took him to the police station for processing.
Overdose Victim Revived on 7th Street
EMS personnel responded to the 1600 block of 7th Street after a report of an overdose.
It took two doses of Narcan to revive the victim. Medics from the Portsmouth Fire Department treated the man.
At 5:30 pm, EMS headed out to another overdose report, this time on 11th Street. However, the man was alert by the time EMS arrived.
