A couple contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report they were assaulted in a Lett Terrace apartment just after 6 pm.
The male half of the couple said he stopped by an ex-girlfriend’s apartment to pick up his stuff and a man staying in the apartment maced him and beat him with brass knuckles.

Officers investigated the situation and said the victim’s statements didn’t match what deputies saw inside the home.
A deputy said they would attempt to get security footage from the Lett Terrace Camera system and continue the investigation.
