A disgusting and disturbing assault occurred at Walmart just after 6 pm on Saturday. New Boston Police were very close by investigating a separate incident of a person making threats to return the the restaurant and split someone’s head open.
While at Arbys, they were called to Walmart. According to reports, a man and his female companion were in an altercation at the New Boston Walmart with a cashier. The male took off running from the store while the female remained behind to speak with police.
According to the statement given to police, the Walmart associate was following the male out of the store when he turned around and spit in her face. The spit also made contact with the female that was with him.
To make matters worse, there was an active protection order in place between both the suspect and his companion. The dispatcher added that his name was listed as approach with caution.
The suspect was identified as William Taylor, 63, of Portsmouth.

Taylor has at least 10 previous arrests. Those charges include several for domestic violence and disorderly conduct as well as previous violations of a protection order.
The female companion refused to give a statement to police. However, nearly a half dozen employees were more than happy to fill out a witness statement.
