A drug raid on a Portsmouth home turned up an incredible haul of illegal narcotics and other items, and now a Portsmouth man and his out-of-towner partner in crime are facing some serious trouble.
The bust is the result of an investigation conducted by the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force Here’s what went down.
Just after 11 a.m., the Portsmouth Police SWAT Team conducted a drug raid at the Campbell Avenue home of 50-year-old Portsmouth resident Johnny Fitzpatrick.
When members of the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force searched the home, they found 62 grams of meth, 48 grams of heroin, 21 grams of crack, $2,300 in cash and other evidence of drug trafficking.
According to Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman, the drugs have a street value of almost $11,000.
Officers also busted 42-year-old Dayton resident Michael Anthony Lewis. Police charged both men with trafficking and possession of drugs.
The pair are due in court on Friday morning, and the Sheriff says the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office could still bring additional charges.
This is Fitzpatrick’s 13th time in the Scioto County Jail. Previous charges include failure to appear, aggravated possession of drugs, domestic violence, parole violation, and contempt of court.
