Erik Zirneskie, embattled, Pike County Deputy can speak to his alleged victim
Bail conditions were modified for a Pike County Sheriff’s Deputy accused of threatening his fiancée with a gun.
Twenty-seven-year-old Erik Zirneskie is accused of sitting down next to his fiance on their bed, pulling her head up against his, and then putting a loaded gun to his own head. And telling her he was going to “end it all.”
The incident happened back on December 21 at the couple’s home in Hillard, Ohio. He was arrested and charged with aggravated menacing and domestic violence. At his arraignment in Franklin County Municipal Court, he was released on his own recognizance after agreeing to pre-trial supervision and promising not to contact the victim or possess firearms.
At a court appearance on January 21, that order was modified to allow Zirneskie and his alleged victim to communicate via text or phone call in order to arrange for pickup of his personal items.
The victim in the case agreed to transport Zirneskie’s personal items to a third party and then notify him to arrange for pickup.
The following day, his attorney filed a motion for continuance, which was granted. Erik Zirneski’s next court date will be on February 13.
