Suspicious Activity

  • A caller reported a woman yelling at a child taking things out of a vehicle just before 11:30 am in front of a 5th Street residence. It turned out the woman was cleaning out her car and found women’s clothing mixed in with her boyfriend’s belongings and was upset.
  • The 17th Street Homeless Shelter reported that a barred woman had returned to the shelter and was causing issues. Police advised her not to come back.
  • A local rehab facility reported a man for leaving notes and photos for a resident and hanging around out front.  However, the client said she didn’t mind the notes, photos, or visits from her on-again-off-again boyfriend. An officer spoke to the man and told him the rehab facility did not want him hanging around the property.
  • A Timmonds Avenue caller reported hearing people on the front porch just after 2 am. Police took a man with an open warrant into custody.
  • A man got into a dispute with Speedway employees when they refused to allow him to spend play money in the store. He tried to use 2/3 of a prop $50 bill with “for motion picture use only” printed on the back.

Family Dollar Robbed

Just before 2 pm, police received a report of a robbery at the Family Dollar on 11th Street. An employee confronted a man who punched the employee and then left the store with merchandise.
