A Portsmouth man is facing serious charges after a Scioto County Grand Jury indicted him for allegedly forcing a woman to engage in sex acts through threats of violence.
Joshua Slusher, 38, was indicted on the following charges:
- Rape
- Gross Sexual Imposition
- Aggravated Menacing
According to the indictment, the incident occurred in March, when Slusher “purposely compelled a woman to submit to a sexual act by threat of force.” Authorities issued a warrant for his arrest on June 4.

Slusher is scheduled to be arraigned in Scioto County Common Pleas Court on June 25.
Court records show Slusher has a prior conviction for domestic violence dating back to 2009.
