The Scioto County Grand Jury has indicted a Portsmouth, Ohio, mom on three counts of rape, kidnapping, and a host of other charges. The grand jury also issued multiple indictments against her husband.
You’ll recall that Kimberly Polacheck, 30, was busted at the end of July after the Scioto County SVU team discovered she’d been playing a 12-year-old boy with weed and having sex with him.
The incident came to the attention of law enforcement when a concerned citizen flagged down a Portsmouth Police Officer in New Boston to report a possible sexual assault in Wayne Hills just before 11 pm on a Saturday night. Sunday afternoon, a woman contacted PPD to report a woman was having sex with a 12-year-old boy. The woman said she was just following up on the report she’s made the night before.
PPD had already passed that tip along to Scioto County SVU. That’s when the Scioto County Special Victim’s Unit sprang into action. First, officers located the victim’s parents, who believed their 12-year-old son was spending the night with a friend. However, when the mom called the friend, she learned the boy was not there.
Detectives headed to the Thomas Avenue apartment of suspect Kimberly Mae Polacheck and discovered the sleeping boy in the apartment. Officers transported the child to a hospital.
Late that Saturday evening she posted about feeling lonely on Facebook. Overnight Saturday to Sunday she posted 11 TikTok videos singing love songs before complaining that her phone service went out.
SCDN later learned that CPS had monitored Polacheck and her husband Dusty for over a year, and the pair had recently had their children returned to them.
After the SVU interviewed additional children, investigators learned her husband, Dusty Polacheck, 30, was also involved in the sexual exploitation of children. Officers arrested him on kidnapping and rape charges just a few days later.
The Scioto County Prosecutor’s office too the evidence to a grand jury, which handed down multiple indictments against the couple.
Kimberly Polacheck is charged with kidnapping, rape, sexual imposition, importuning, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, endangering children, and corrupting another with drugs.
Dusty Polachek is charged with kidnapping, sexual imposition, importuning, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, endangering children, and corrupting another with drugs.
