Indecent Exposure at the Royal Inn

Police had a warrant for one of the men but the Scioto County Jail refused to take him.

The fight started when one guy lost $80 and thought he saw another guy pick it up. Officers advised everyone to break it up and go home.

Officers did not issue a summons on the warrant. As a result, they told dispatch to put it back in the file.

That’s Not Sidewalk Chalk

Police were called to Wayne Avenue at 8:30 am for a report of someone spray-painting graffiti on the sidewalk.

Officers took information for a report.

  • At 12:37 pm, officers went to Thomas Avenue to check on the welfare of two toddlers.
  • A report claimed the children were living in filth.
  • Officers spoke with the mom in question. She told them she’d prefer they not come in. The mom said her apartment was clean and her children were fine.
  • She complained of two previous false reports.
  • Since officers were unable to go inside, they couldn’t verify or refute the complaint.

Facebook Knife Fight

Police got a report of a Facebook feud that spilled over into real life. AT 12:42 pm, a man complained that another man pulled a knife on him.

The incident happened Tuesday night at 8 pm on Summit Street. The victim said he was not afraid of the other guy.

The complainant claimed the fight was a result of a Facebook disagreement.

He told police he told his attacker’s mom on him.

Can’t We All Just Get Along?

At 3:32 pm, Police responded to a call from 19th Street apartment for a domestic. A man and his girlfriend were arguing.

The guy had left treatment to talk to the girlfriend.

She was not happy about it.  The boyfriend said he planned to come back to retrieve personal belongings from the home.

Officers suggested he not pick them up without police accompaniment.

8

Missing 10-year-old

Just before 11 pm, police received a scary call. A Spring Street woman said her 10-year-old-daughter was missing.

Just three minutes later, she called back and said she found her daughter sleeping in the back seat of her car.

Everyone involved was fine.

9

At 11:12, a man called police from Harrison Street. He said officers needed to come out to the scene before he hurt someone.

The man didn’t provide any more information. Police rolled out to the scene and separated the parties.

10

Tell The Truth

Officers answered a call to 5th street at 11:46 pm for a report of a burglary. The caller said he came home to find his apartment broken into and items were stolen. He said there was video footage.

But once cops got a look at the footage, the story didn’t match up. As a result, Police concluded he lied about the incident to get someone out of the house. If he wants someone out, he’ll have to file an eviction. Officers warned the man about filing a false report.
