Law enforcement officials have opened a reckless homicide investigation into the death of Lt. Rodney Osborne.
Osborne, who served as a corrections officer at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, was killed during a training exercise at the tactical firing range at the Correctional Training Academy in Pickaway County earlier this month.

An employee of the facility has been placed on paid leave while the Ohio State Patrol investigates the circumstances surrounding Osborne’s death.
