Rickey “Rick” J. Hiles, 68 years old, of Portsmouth, OH, passed away Saturday, March 19th, 2022, at SOMC ED.
He was born August 30th,1953, in Portsmouth to the late Raymond and Rita (Nee Carr) Hiles.
Rick was a 1972 graduate of Portsmouth High School. He retired from Barbours Auto Parts after 40 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Gary D. Hiles of Portsmouth and Jamie Hiles of New Boston.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda (Nee Lemaster) Benjamin, one son Rob (Dana) Benjamin of Lucasville, two grandchildren: Andrea (Joseph) Risner and Ryan Benjamin; two great-grandchildren: Ryker and Charlie Risner, special nephew Gary (Julie) Hiles and several cousins.
Rick had a special appreciation and love for all his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022, from 6-8 PM, and Wednesday, March 23rd, 12 – 1 PM. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 23rd at 1 PM, all at F.C. Daehler Mortuary, 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth, OH. Burial immediately following at Scioto Burial Park. Pastor Michael Blevins officiating.
