There are remedies the city can explore. One of those includes declaring these, or any businesses with high crime rates associated with them, to be labeled as nuisance properties. Once a business has been deemed a nuisance, under the Ohio Revised Code, that business can be forcibly closed just like the Health Department can condemn a home or close an unsafe restaurant.
