The Scioto County Republican Party Central Committee condemns the recent display of sexually explicit materials to children which took place at the Portsmouth Public Library.
The Portsmouth Public Library has an obligation to ensure that the materials it provides to children are age-appropriate. Instead of fulfilling this obligation, the library has caused tremendous harm through its display and promotion of children’s books discussing Leftist Gender Ideology, masturbation, contraception, homosexual and heterosexual sex, and a number of other inappropriate and harmful topics.
The library board should take steps to remove these materials to an adult-only section, educate staff members about their harmful and predacious actions, and ensure that such an incident never happens again.
The GOP Central Committee applauds Scioto County Commissioner Bryan Davis and Portsmouth City Councilman Joey Sandlin for their efforts in speaking out against this heinous betrayal of trust by the library.
Scioto County Republican Central Committee Condemns Portsmouth City Council Resolution Against H.B. 327
The Scioto County Republican Party Central Committee condemns Portsmouth City Council’s recent approval of the second reading of “A Resolution expressing the opposition of the Council of the City of Portsmouth to Ohio H.B. No. 327.”
Members of council voting in favor of this resolution include Andy Cole, Sean Dunne, Lyvette Mosley, Dennis Packard, and Charlotte Gordon.
Young children should not be learning about Critical Race Theory and Leftist Gender Ideology in public schools.
Nicole Neily of Parents Defending Education defines Critical Race Theory as an ideology that seeks to “reduce people to factors outside of their control and strip away their individual identity to define them by their race – nothing to do with teaching history.”
Leftist Gender Ideology teaches that people of any age can change their gender at any time, and that one’s biological sex does not determine their gender.
By taking a stance against legislation which would prevent the indoctrination of children with such filth, these members of Portsmouth City Council have decided to back state-sponsored perversion and propaganda within our schools.
The GOP Central Committee commends Councilman Joey Sandlin for being the only member of Portsmouth City Council with the courage to stand up against the indoctrination of Ohio children.
