A 911 call left dispatchers stunned when a Scioto County man, clearly in distress, reported that his wife had beaten him—and even hid his prosthetic leg during the attack.
“I’m bleeding, and she won’t stop hitting me!” the man shouted into the phone. Dispatchers could hear a woman yelling and cursing in the background before the call was cut off. Attempts to call back went straight to voicemail.
🚨 Deputies rushed to the home, but found no vehicles in the driveway. Moments later, the injured man answered the door, visibly shaken and with bruises above and below his eyes.
He told officers that during the argument, his wife had taken his prosthetic leg, causing him to fall and injure himself. While he initially didn’t want to file charges, officers explained that because of what was said during the 911 call and his visible injuries, charges for domestic violence would be filed against his wife, who had already fled the scene.
🩺 Green Township EMS was called in to assess the man’s injuries, and officers searched the home to confirm the suspect had left.
