Portsmouth Police Officers provided assistance to a Kentucky State Trooper who was waiting at SOMC to pick up a suspect from a Kentucky shooting who was due to be released from the ER.
The trooper was waiting for a warrant to come through, and local officers planned to arrest the suspect and transport him to the Scioto County Jail to wait for extradition.
However, Kentucky authorities decided to take the matter to the grand jury instead. The hospital released the man back into society.
