In the early hours of Tuesday morning, medics at Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) reported that a man arrived with multiple stab wounds.
Police responded promptly to the hospital and took information for a report. Details about the circumstances of the stabbing and the identity of the victim have not been released.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
What to Do If Someone Is Stabbed
A stabbing is a medical emergency. If you encounter someone who has been stabbed:
- Call 911 immediately — quick medical attention can save lives.
- Apply firm pressure to the wound with a clean cloth to help control bleeding.
- Do not remove any object lodged in the wound; this can worsen bleeding.
- Keep the victim calm and still to prevent further injury.
- Provide any information to police to assist in the investigation.
Remember, prompt action and calling for help are critical.
