A Sunday afternoon brawl turns into a bloody nightmare!
At 12:56 pm on Sunday, March 16, 2025, a chilling 911 call came into the Scioto County Communication Center— a woman threatening her neighbor. But what followed next was even more shocking!
As deputies raced to 68 South Bennett St. in South Webster, they were warned that a violent altercation had already erupted. When they arrived, the scene was chaos—two victims had been cut with a knife, while two others were assaulted. Four ambulances were immediately dispatched to the scene, and all four victims were rushed to Southern Ohio Medical Center for treatment.
While detectives launched an investigation at the hospital, they learned that all four victims had been treated and released.
After questioning, it became clear that the troublemakers were Russell D. Slone Jr., 45, and his wife Tiffany Slone, 36, both residents of South Bennett St.
The couple was arrested and hit with multiple charges, including:
Felonious Assault (2nd degree felony)
Strangulation (4th degree felony)
Strangulation (3rd degree felony)
Domestic Violence (1st degree misdemeanor) – Two counts
They appeared in court on March 17 and are now behind bars at Scioto County Jail, with a hefty $75,000 bond each.
Sheriff Thoroughman has made it clear that this investigation is far from over—more charges could soon be headed to the Scioto County Grand Jury.
