Portsmouth Police say two fugitives didn’t make it far after being spotted in the Wayne Hills public housing complex.
Just after 9:30 p.m., officers arrested Nigel Harr and Trevor Hummel, both wanted on open warrants. Harr was wanted for theft, while Hummel faced a probation violation. Both men were booked into the Scioto County Jail.
Harr’s Long Rap Sheet
Harr’s warrant stems from a theft charge filed in June. He recently appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court, with a pre-trial hearing now set for October 8. But that’s far from his only run-in with the law.
His history includes multiple arrests for driving under suspension, several OVIs, thefts, falsification, fictitious plates, drug trafficking, drug abuse, receiving stolen property, possessing drug instruments, vandalism, robbery, domestic violence, failure to comply, disorderly conduct, and even being a fugitive from justice.
Hummel’s Record
Hummel’s probation violation stems from a theft conviction in July, when he was sentenced to drug treatment and a year of probation. He was also arrested in June for driving under suspension.
Wayne Hills, already a hotspot for calls, remains a place where wanted suspects often turn up—but warrants eventually catch up with them.
