Wayne Edward Brumfield III, 47, of Portsmouth, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at SOMC. He was born September 25, 1973 in Ironton, a son of Wayne E. Blackburn II of Franklin Furnace and the late Teresa Ann Smith Koster.
Wayne was a package handler for UPS in Rosemount with five years of service and a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local #92. He loved to listen to the music of the ’70s-’90s and was also an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals as well as the Ohio State Buckeyes. A 1992 graduate of Portsmouth West High School, Wayne attended the former Vo-Tech in the masonry program.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Tamara Kay Mueller Brumfield. The couple was married on December 15, 2000, in Ironton. Also surviving are two children, Nicole Jo Ann Brumfield and Codey Austin Brumfield, both at home. Wayne was dearly loved by his wife, children, and family.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Monday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
