Wayne Hills Woman Busted For Assault & Child Endangerment
A 28-year-old Wayne Hills Woman was arrested for assault and child endangerment after an investigation by the Scioto County Special Victim’s unit.
On Monday, Portsmouth Police were contacted by Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus to report a case of child abuse. They immediately notified Sgt. Jodi Conkel from the Scioto County Special Victim’s Unit.
Investigators immediately launched an investigation, interviewed witnesses, reviewed medical records, and collected evidence and videos. Detectives headed to Danielle Coyle’s Thomas Avenue apartment to speak to her, but were unable to get an answer. They eventually located the woman at a Minford home.
Officers arrested Coyle for felonious assault, endangering children, and probation violation. Ms. Coyle has previously been arrested for disorderly conduct, assault, domestic violence, and failure to appear.
She appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Wednesday and is currently being held without bond in the Scioto County Jail.
Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman said the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be filed at a later date.
