A Wheelersburg homeowner contacted deputies at 1 pm to report a break-in. She told officers she was in currently in Florida, and her father had regularly checked on her house while she was out of town.

When he arrived at the home that morning, he discovered the back door open, and the inside of the home ransacked. She requested that her father be allowed to file the police report since she was out of town.
Several items were reported missing from the home.
