Portsmouth, Ohio’s opioid addiction problems have made national news, and the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force swung into action Tuesday morning to fight the flow of drugs.
Just before 9 am, task force officers aided by the Portsmouth Police Department SWAT raided an apartment in the 2300 block of 17th Street.
Armed with a search warrant, officers executed a search of the apartment and turned up evidence of drug trafficking. Among items seized in the raid were suspected heroin/fentanyl, digital scales, two guns, and $1300 in cash. Officers say the street value of the drugs is $13,600.
Suspects Have Long Records
Officers arrested 46-year-old Jason Cortez Bolden-Lisath on drug and weapons charges. Police previously arrested Bolden-Lisath for parole violation last February, and he has a long record of arrests on multiple charges, including endangering children, drug possession, domestic violence, and other charges.

The task force also took 32-year-old Marissa A. Perkins of Campbell Avenue into custody on an open warrant for probation violation. Perkins was arrested back in January for probation violation and escape. Officers also took her into custody back in October for DUI, escape, and probation violation and in August for DUI and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Police took both suspects to the Scioto County Jail. Bolden-Lisath will face a judge in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Wednesday morning. The Scioto County Prosecutor will present the case to the grand jury, and more charges could be filed.
Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer and Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman thanked the tactical medics from the Portsmouth Fire Department for their assistance with the warrant execution.
