Charles D. Kelley, 82, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Louisa, Kentucky, July 18, 1939, a son of the late Melvin Kelley and Carrie Barker Kelley.
Preceded in death besides his parents are his first wife, Janice Covert Kelley to whom he married on March 1, 1958, four brothers, William Kelley, James Kelley, Tom Kelley, and John Kelley, four sisters, Clotine Riley, Mavis Bowling, Opal Stout, and Vinia Triplett.
Surviving are his wife, Sally Mallory Kelley, one son, Charles David (Denedia) Kelley of Port St Lucie, Florida, daughters, Debbie Roe of South Shore, Kentucky, Lisa (Scott) Stephenson of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, Sherry (John) Kamer of Port Orange, Florida, grandchildren, Julie Bender, April Crabtree, Caitlin Kamer, Charles David Kelley Jr., Hayden Stephenson, great-grandchildren, Haley Stapleton, Alexis Stapleton, great-great-grandchildren, Joseph Zapf and Elijah Crabtree, one brother, Roger Kelley of Jackson, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Pastor Bryan White, officiating. Burial will follow in the Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. and one hour before the service time on Thursday.
