Margaret Alice Eichenlaub Lute, 84, of McDermott, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 3, 2024, at home with her family and friends by her side. She was born March 15, 1940, in Otway, Ohio, to the late Jacob and Alice Eichenlaub.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Glomer Lute; son, Dale (Karla) Lute of McDermott; daughter, Mildred (Phil) Sandlin of McDermott; 4 grandchildren, Jason (Emma) Lute, Ryan (Shellee) Sandlin, Darren (Ericka) Sandlin and Miranda (Tyler) Webb; eleven great-grandchildren, Paige Lute, Syndee Sandlin, Stevee Sandlin, Evan Lute, Lainey Sandlin, Axel Sandlin, Maya Sandlin, Caleb Anderson, Abby Wolfe, Noah Wolfe and Aiden Wolfe; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Ennsley, Zayde and Hadley; 2 sisters, Mildred Taylor and Edith (Gary) Whitley; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Allen, Virgil, and Ralph Eichenlaub, and one sister, Elsie Lute.
She attended Pleasant Hill Community Church in McDermott. She was a retired Activity Director and co-owner of Pineview Manor Nursing Home, a Lucasville Eastern Star member, and a DAR member.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Rev. Curt Carver officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8 at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
