Dwight Edward McNutt, 63, of Portsmouth, died Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
He was born June 7, 1962, in Portsmouth, to the late Ralph Norman McNutt and Leona Louise Kennedy McNutt. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Edward McNutt; his brothers, Ralph Dale McNutt Sr., David Allen McNutt, and Billy Joe McNutt; and his sister, Karen Sue McNutt.
Dwight retired from the Portsmouth Metropolitan Housing Authority (PMHA), where he truly loved his job and took pride in caring for everyone he worked with. He never met a stranger and had a genuine love for people. Dwight also enjoyed dirt track racing and spending time with those he cared about most.
He is survived by his girlfriend of 18 years, whom he deeply loved, Beth Wines; his son, Justin Dwight (Megan) McNutt; his daughters, Brittany (Zack Vastine) Pistole and Kimberly (Jack Blevins Sr.) McNutt; his brothers, John McNutt, Terry (Kim) McNutt, and Doug (Teresa) McNutt; his sister-in-law, Sherry McNutt; his grandchildren, who were his absolute world and whom he cherished, Jack Blevins Jr., Logan Lawson, Mylie Pistole, Destiney Lawson, Brayleigh Pistole, Kinley Vastine, Emmie McNutt, and Grayden Edward McNutt; his great-grandchildren, Jack Blevins III, Skylar Blevins, and his 3 closest friends; Bill Dunham, Danny Winters, John Sullivan.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, with Chad McNutt officiating.
