Adam Lee Ainsworth, 61, of Ironton, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023, at his residence. Adam was born September 25, 1961, in Ironton, Ohio, the son of Karlene Hoertel Ainsworth of Ironton, Ohio the late William “Bill” Ainsworth.
Adam was a 1979 graduate of Ironton High School, where he played sports and played on the 1979 Ironton State Championship Football Team. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Adam was a former employee of Ironton Iron as an operator. Adam loved The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, and the Cincinnati Bengals.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ryan David Ainsworth and Gregory Alan Ainsworth, and a sister, Michele Meade.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Brandon Ainsworth, stepson, Eric Collins, daughter-in-law, Taylor Hope Fleming, very special friend/home health aid, Janie Clay, his grandsons, Gunner Cole Thomas, Ryan Chase Ainsworth, and Parker James Fleming and granddaughter, Jaycee “Toodles” Ainsworth and his favorite aunt, Lynn O’Leary. Also, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
