A 1959 graduate of Wayne High School. He worked for the Norfolk Southern Railroad for 40 years and retired as a Conductor in 2001.
He lived for the railroad. It’s most of who he was for most of his life. He appreciated cars, animals, sports, food, and words. His work ethic was impeccable. His determination impressive. He felt strongly that his opinion needed to be heard by those around him. He shared bits of wisdom like “Never marry anyone prettier than you, it’ll make your life hard.”
Most of all he loved and was loved by family who knew him affectionately as Grandpa Bill, Dad, Poppy, Bill, and our handsome man.
