EMS and Portsmouth Police responded to the 1300 block of 12th Street after a car drove into a house around 8:30 pm.

Dispatch contacted Columbia Gas, AEP, and Portsmouth Waterworks to shut off all utilities to the house. They also contacted the Red Cross to reach out to the residents of the home.
Officers impounded the vehicle and had it towed. They also caught up with a possible suspect on Findlay about 10 minutes later. They took the man’s information and allowed him to leave the scene.
