It didn’t take long for one familiar name to find his way back into the police blotter.
Just before 1 a.m., Portsmouth police located a man with an active warrant near Young and Harmon Streets.
Officers took him into custody without incident and transported him to the Scioto County Jail.
🚔 TEN MINUTES LATER, ANOTHER CALL
Roughly ten minutes after that arrest, officers were dispatched to the area of 12th and Waller Streets after a caller reported a man walking in traffic and attempting to wave down passing vehicles.
According to the report, the man had a shirt draped over his head and was creating a hazard for motorists.
Police quickly located and detained him.
The man was identified as Chester Harrison.
👀 A NAME READERS MAY RECOGNIZE
Harrison’s name may sound familiar to SCDN readers.
Earlier this week, he was arrested after a police pursuit that ended in one of the more unusual locations possible—the parking lot of the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.
That chase began after law enforcement deployed stop sticks near Portsmouth and ended when Harrison allegedly fled into the very place most people are trying to avoid.
He was charged with fleeing and eluding and obstructing official business.
⚖️ A SHORT STAY BEHIND BARS
Following that pursuit, Harrison appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court and was released on his own recognizance.
He apparently didn’t stay out of trouble for long.
After the latest incident, police arrested him on a disorderly conduct charge.
Court records indicate he once again didn’t spend much time behind bars.
