Deputies responded to an area middle school after staff reported an out-of-control student.
Teachers said the child was becoming more agitated and non-compliant as the school day went on. The child refused to work, so the staff took their laptop. The child responded by screaming, kicking, and even singing before attempting to hurt themself.
When teachers tried to intervene, the child kicked and pushed them. Staff then put the child in a restraint hold to prevent self-harm. The school placed the child on a three-day suspension.
